Officials are hopeful that job fairs will result in filling each open position before the year’s end. There are 1,300 positions available in all areas, from the gaming floor to management. In anticipation of next year’s opening date, the casino is currently hiring employees. The Rivers Casino Portsmouth is set to open in 2023, offering visitors and residents of Virginia quality casino gaming options. Two more job fairs are set for August and September.Jobs on offer include table game dealers, leadership, and management.Casino officials are not concerned about a labor shortage affecting their employment numbers.
